Something not working?
Most things are fixed by one of the answers below. If yours is not here, write to us and a person will reply.
Fixes that usually work
My score is not appearing on the global leaderboard
Three things are needed: a display name set in Settings → Profile, an internet connection, and a finished run. If all three are true and you still see a message about verifying your device, the game could not confirm with Apple that it is a genuine copy. Close the app fully, reopen it, and open Scores → Global to retry. Your score is saved on your device in the meantime and is sent on a later attempt.
I hear no music or sound effects
Check the toggles in Settings → Audio & Feedback: Menu Music, Sound Effects, and the Game Music track. Then check the iPhone side switch or Focus mode, and the volume while the game is open. Zero In shares audio politely, so if another app is playing music, its own music stays quiet.
I cannot feel any haptics
Turn on Settings → Audio & Feedback → Haptics in the game, then check iOS Settings → Sounds & Haptics → System Haptics. Haptics are also suppressed in Low Power Mode and do not exist on iPad or in the Simulator.
My progress or high score disappeared
Progress is stored on the device and is not backed up to iCloud, so deleting and reinstalling the game clears it, as does moving to a new phone without an encrypted device backup. We cannot restore progress remotely. Your global leaderboard entry survives, because it lives on our server.
The Save & Exit button disappeared
That is intentional. Saving is only possible during the first ten seconds of a level, so a run cannot be paused once the puzzle gets hard. After that, going back ends the run and banks your score.
A puzzle looks impossible
Every puzzle is generated with a verified solution, so one always exists. Use the Hint button for a nudge, or let the timer run out and choose Show me the solution to see one worked path. If you believe you have found a genuinely unsolvable puzzle, email us a screenshot and we will investigate.
The text is too small or too large
Zero In follows the iOS text size setting for its reading text, up to a limit that keeps the board on one screen. Adjust it in iOS Settings → Display & Brightness → Text Size. If you use Reduce Motion, the home screen animation holds still instead.
I bought the full game but it is still locked
Open Settings → Restore Purchases in the game while signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with, then give it a few seconds. If it still does not unlock, check that you are signed in to the App Store on that device, and email us the Apple receipt so we can look into it.
What is free and what is paid?
The first ten levels, the whole Easy tier, are free with no time limit. One purchase unlocks Medium, Genius and the rest of the campaign for good, on every device signed in to your Apple Account. There is no subscription and no advertising.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase. If something in the game is broken, tell us first and we will usually be able to fix it.
How do I change or remove my display name?
Change it in Settings → Profile and press Save; your leaderboard entry updates. To remove your entry entirely, email [email protected] from any address with the display name, and we will delete it.
What to include
The more of this you can give us, the faster it gets fixed.
Tell us
- Your device and iOS version, for example iPhone 15, iOS 18.2
- The app version from Settings → About → Version
- What you did, what happened, and what you expected
- A screenshot or a screen recording if you can
- The level number and the target, if it happened during a game
Send it to
[email protected]
We read everything. If your report leads to a fix, it ships in the next update and we
will tell you when it does.
